Although she receives inspiration from a number of artists such as Whitney Houston, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin and Randy Crawford, Arimatea combines a variety of compositional elements to form her unique sound that covers R&B, Soul, Pop and Jazz. ‘Life Can Be Easy’ by Arimatea, lasts around four and a half minutes and sits at 77bpm. The track commences with a five second intro that builds a sense of anticipation for the verse.

Arimatea’s clean and emotive vocal color seamlessly synchronizes with the smooth vibe of the instrumentation. The steady percussion combines with the melodic keys, stylistic guitar and foundational bass to form the perfect platform for the vocal line.

The harmonized vocal layers of the choir, used for the chorus, adds a creative flare and depth to the overall sound without detracting from the lyrical prominence. A melodic shift that kicks in from around 3:22 delivers just the right amount of dynamic diversity to ensure that this single is engaging from start to finish.

By the time ‘Life Can Be Easy’ draws to a close, you’ll find yourself humming along with the catchy hook and in need of hitting that repeat button for another listen.
